From humble begins in 1982 with a circulation of about 8,000, The Nickel has expanded and has nearly tripled in size with a circulation of 23,000. Starting out independent and always dedicated to serving our local area, The Nickel has withstood different economic climates in the past 27 years and we pride ourselves on being one of the few still remaining independent newspapers in the country.
And during this time in the recession, we're finding readership continues to grow. Every week our reach, just for our printed classification ads, has grown to over 40,000 people! People are looking for a deal, and our goal is to bring buyers and sellers together.
